THE BRIGHTON FAMILY
 
William married Ann Wycliff, they had a son also called William in 1830 in Seaton Ross.
William married Fanny Forth Popplewell in 1856, they lived at Elvington with Fanny's father before moving to Kexby then to Wilberfoss, where they were in 1901.
They had the following

Lily 12/2/1867 Kexby she married Robert Harper
Hannah 29/9/1867 she married Henry John Wox

Wycliffe married Annie and was living in York in 1901 they had the following
Evelyn 4/12/1891
Thomas Albert 8/7/1894-29/10/1972 he married Annie Saville in 1928 and had 3 children
William Edwin 6/11/1896-20/4/1977 he married Ada Elizabeth Wainwright in 1920 and had 3 children
Twins Reginald and Archibald born 9/10/1898 they both died the same year
Frank Archibald 1/9/1900
 

The ATKIN family
 
They were originally from the Stillingfleet/Naburn area but Edward and John had both moved here in the 1830s, John was abookseller who married and then moved to York, Edward remained in the village as a butcher.
Edward and Mary Anne had the following children

William 1831 he became a hosier and haberdasher
 
In 1859 Edmund was on the committee and ordinary member of the Elvington Grange Cricket Club.

*Robert married Julia Hannah Smallwood in 1882 and remained in the village, he was a groom on the 1891 census
